USBASP programmer working on Windows 7 x64

It as not my brightest moment, but it has improved out computing experience at home, upgrading my XP to Windows 7. BUT, it broke the Usb driver, because Microsoft decided that signing all drivers without exclusion will improve the customer computing experience... I hate going outside the box to break my system, but I need my usb programmer to work so... Solution: 1. download driver from http://www.fischl.de/usbasp/ 2. Plug in device, browse path to downlaoded files 3. Install fails... no worry. 4. download DSO version 3b from http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=dseo 5. Run it, and select "sign a driver". browse to the driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\libusb0.sys 6. Put DSO into test mode 7. Reboot - it (should) now work I think you can skip step 5

How to repair stuff

No literally, things break, fact of life. Fixing stuff is the only way to keep 2 very useful things in life. Junk out of the landfill and cash in your pocket. I went over to the local landfill this weekend, with 2 bootloads of cleared out garden rubble and excess bin waste. It feels a real shame that we throw so much stuff into landfills. Even the stuff that is sorted at the recycling centre is still really inefficient. So I feel sad about all of the waste, but there you have it.

Saw chain sharpening notes

I also looked at the hand sharpening, and as in many of the videos I found a discrepancy, most people sharpen at 30° , even though when I checked, my manufacturer states 25° angle.
